Our Bridge

It takes little more than a minute to cross the Mississippi River when traveling interstate 80. However, we often don't think of all of the work of the people who engineered and built the bridge which enables this convenient passage. Two hundred years ago, crossing a wide river was a major impediment to transportation. Today it is a convenience which is taken for granted.
